Morning Scene
This morning in Urasoe is 18°C, with a high of 20°C, promising a day with little change. Though some clouds linger, the air is nearly windless. The breeze felt crisp yet refreshing as I hung the laundry. As the sun rose, the temperature slowly climbed, ushering in a calm, peaceful morning befitting a quiet Sunday. Watching outside while the washing machine ran, the windless air felt clear, and a gentle flow of time passed.

🛏️ Mom’s Leisurely Morning
This morning, when I called out “Wake up~” as usual, Mom replied, “Not getting up, still sleeping,” making for a typically relaxed Sunday start. After getting up once to have breakfast and take her medicine, she went back to rest in bed. She seems very sleepy today.
However, perhaps because there’s no wind and the air pressure is stable, her headache seems to have subsided, which is a relief. After resting a while longer, she’ll likely start cleaning as usual, so I plan to let her take it easy while monitoring her condition.

🛒 Today’s Shopping and Plans
I plan to pick up the laundry detergent I forgot yesterday and also look for apple bananas at the farmers market. They’re Mom’s favorite fruit—she always says she’ll buy them if they’re available. The variety changes with the season, but bananas themselves are available year-round, which is reassuring.
After that, I was planning to head to Nishihara Sanei, but I heard the food court is under renovation until mid-April, so it looks like I’ll just do the shopping today. Once shopping is done, I’ll decide how to spend the afternoon based on how Mom is feeling.

🌸 The Changing Cherry Blossoms and Signs of the Season
This morning, the cherry blossoms are starting to show deeper green, and in some places, petals are turning into leaves. However, there’s significant variation between trees. Some are about to reach full bloom, while others seem destined to fade without ever fully opening.
The cherry trees near our apartment building are mostly done, but a little further away, there are still trees that will bloom soon, so we should be able to enjoy the spring scenery for a little while longer. Even after the blossoms fade, small birds come to eat the cherries, and my mother looks forward to birdwatching from our home.

📝 Summary
It was a calm, windless morning, with a leisurely pace befitting a Sunday. My mother’s condition remains stable; while she feels sleepy, the headache has subsided, which is the most important thing. As we go about our usual small tasks like shopping and searching for bananas, it promises to be a day where we feel the changing seasons. Even as the cherry blossoms fade, the coming scenery with the visiting birds is something else to look forward to.
