This morning was clear and refreshing, with pleasant sunshine. The bamboo didn’t sway; only an occasional gentle breeze passed through, creating a very calm atmosphere. A faint moon was visible in the sky, as if morning and night were passing the baton.

Current temperature is 19°C, with a forecast high of 21°C. Wind speeds are predicted to be 2-4 m/s, but it actually looks like it will be a quiet day with hardly any wind. Since rain is forecast for tomorrow, I heard she woke up early this morning to finish the laundry.

🤕 Headache Due to Pressure Change
Mom had a headache since morning, possibly due to the pressure change overnight. With pressure fluctuations continuing through the weekend, her condition might remain unstable. She got up without trouble but didn’t seem quite herself.
🍳 Breakfast and Medication
Breakfast was grilled salmon, rolled omelet, and bacon. She ate well and took her medicine, which is reassuring. Today at the “Vibrant Health Club,” it’s a chat day instead of exercise. She decided to rest without pushing herself and is currently sleeping peacefully.

📝 Preparing for the Word Exam
Heading to computer class this morning. He’s in intensive training for the Nissho Word exam, which is just around the corner. As the exam approaches, he’ll need to study diligently at home too, so **blog updates might slow down a bit.**
🚗 Exam Venue Congestion
The exam venue is also being used for tax filing, and the parking situation is reportedly chaotic. Arriving early is essential; I’ll update on the situation later.
🌸 The End of Cherry Blossoms and the Yellow of Ipe
🌿 Cherry Blossoms to Young Leaves
This morning, the cherry blossoms were completely covered in green young leaves, with only faded pink lingering here and there. It felt like the blossoms were whispering, “It’s over now,” a scene that made me feel the passing of the season.
🌼 The Vibrant Yellow of Ipe
Yesterday, with some free time, they photographed the ipe flowers, currently at their peak. Native to South America, these yellow flowers—commonly seen as street trees in Okinawa—glowed brilliantly in the sunlight. Though finding parking proved difficult for the shoot, they recalled a single tree near an elementary school and managed to photograph it during a stroll. The entire tree was dyed a glossy yellow, a truly uplifting color.
Since there are no Ipe trees within the apartment complex grounds, they mentioned wondering what to photograph next, but the seasons will likely bring new subjects.
Ipe trees are apparently native to Brazil. In Okinawa, the yellow Ipe flowers bloom around the time the cherry blossoms finish flowering. They are flowers that herald the arrival of early summer.
