🚗 On the Way to Ginowan San-A
Today I went to Ginowan San-A. When I left my apartment and drove onto the national highway, there were more cars than I expected, and a line had formed. I was wondering why there were so many cars turning right, but it turned out most of them were heading for the **A&W** just past the turn. Looking at the license plates, they were all rental cars. Apparently, there’s been talk recently that “a certain celebrity used it for a shoot,” so it seems young people are coming to take photos. It didn’t matter that it was before noon—it felt like it was crowded all day long.

🅿️ Parking and Shopping Inside
When I entered the parking lot from the back of Ginowan Sanei, there was just one open spot right next to the entrance. My mom didn’t seem to want to walk, so she shouted, “It’s open!!”
“Let’s park here,” I said as I pulled in, and we headed straight into the store.
We hopped on the elevator right away and went down to the first floor. We grabbed a shopping cart, headed to the aisles, and picked out the ingredients we needed while picturing what was in our fridge. After finishing our shopping in a flash, my mom said, “I want to go to Matsukiyo,” so we went to the second floor. We bought cold medicine and some Lenor, which we had run out of.

🍚 Lunch at Wafutei
After shopping, we headed for lunch. When I asked my mother, “What would you like to eat?” she seemed to prefer something with rice. I initially suggested Ohsho, but she ultimately decided she wanted Japanese food, so we went to **Wafutei**.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded, so we were seated right away. The staff were thoughtful enough to take our shopping cart for us.
My mother just kept saying, “I don’t know,” so I explained the menu to her while showing it to her, and
and she chose the **Customizable Donburi (Tempura Don) + Simmered Vegetables + Chawanmushi**.
I went with the **Tempura Don with Soba Noodles**.
Since my mom doesn’t eat everything, we shared. Today, she ate about 70% of her meal.

🏡 Afternoon at Home
We got home just before 2:00 PM, tidied up a bit, and then put Mom down for a nap.
Looking outside from the balcony, the weather was nice despite the strong wind. In the yard, children were running around playing tag. It was a typical scene for elementary schoolers—dropping their backpacks and heading straight out to play.
I was feeling sleepy too, so I took a nap for about an hour. I woke up at 3:00, wrote a draft for my blog, and then started preparing dinner.
The original plan was “simmered daikon radish” and “potato salad,” but in the end,
– Potato salad
– Simmered vegetables
– Daikon steak
It ended up being three dishes.

🌙 How Mom Was Doing Tonight
After dinner, I gave Mom her medicine, and since she said, “I’m going to bed early,” she went to bed.
However, as usual, it seems she’ll be doing this and that until around 10:00.
It’s cold tonight, so I gave her an extra blanket.

📝 Summary
Today was a day where I was able to spend quality time with my mother, from shopping at San-A in Ginowan to lunch at Wafutei, and a peaceful afternoon after returning home. Even with the strong wind, I could hear the children’s cheerful voices, and it was an afternoon where I was soothed by the small scenes of everyday life.
