🌡️ This Morning’s Air and the Changing Seasons
It’s sunny and refreshing this morning, with a temperature of 22°C and a forecast high of 25°C. The wind speed is 4–5 m/s, about the same as yesterday, but there’s no chill—just a pleasant breeze.
The nights have been hot these past few days—hot enough to use a fan. It was a morning that made me feel like Okinawa has truly shifted into the “Urizun” season.

☕ A Leisurely Start to Sunday Morning
I woke up slowly this Sunday morning. I started the washing machine, boiled water to brew coffee, and warmed up some donuts in the air fryer while waking up my mother.
She said, “I’ll have some tea today,” so I prepared some black tea and served it with half a donut and a banana. After taking her medicine, she’s relaxing in bed watching TV.

👨👩👧 The Morning View from the Balcony
As I hung up the laundry and looked outside, the sun peeked through the clouds, and the sight of the clouds rushing by was striking.
In the parking lot of the swimming school next door, a parent and a toddler were playing tag, and it was a scene that made me smile.
It seems the school kids were heading somewhere by bus today, and there was a lively commotion as they boarded. It was a scene that brought a sense of vitality right from the morning.

🧹 Mom’s Condition and Morning Chores
Mom, who had been napping, suddenly woke up and started cleaning. She walked around with the vacuum cleaner, gathering trash and placing it by the front door—she really got the job done.
She seemed to be moving around even while grumbling, so it looks like she’s having one of those days when she’s feeling good. She said she wants to go shopping this afternoon, so she plans to take a shower and get ready.

🌿 Cherry Blossoms Transitioning into the Season of New Leaves
The cherry tree visible from the balcony is now completely covered in lush green leaves; from a distance, you wouldn’t even recognize it as a cherry tree.
The new leaves soak up the sunlight, signaling the arrival of early summer. The wind is a bit strong, but it looks like it will stay sunny until evening, so I don’t have to worry about the laundry.

🕊️ A Breath of Relief as the Festivities Wind Down
The Higan season has ended, and next up is the Qingming Festival (Seimei) in a month. There’s no special preparation needed, so it looks like I’ll be able to relax for a while.
With my father’s first anniversary and the Equinox over, I feel a sense of closure. I’ve run the dishwasher and checked the ingredients in the fridge—all that’s left is to go shopping. My morning chores are almost done.
