🌤 **This Morning’s Weather and Wind Conditions**
Although the forecast called for sunny weather in Okinawa this morning, the sky was actually quite cloudy, so it wasn’t exactly a clear blue sky.
The temperature is **25°C (high of 27°C)**.
The forecast called for winds of 4 m/s, but it felt stronger than that—**the wind is blowing so hard I can’t hang out the laundry**.
I didn’t plan on doing laundry today anyway, and since the wind is supposed to die down tomorrow, I’ll do it then.

☕Morning Routine and My Mother’s Condition
I woke up around 6 a.m. and spent some time dozing off and on, then had breakfast around 8 a.m. with bread and coffee.
My mother got up easily today and ate half a piece of bread, yogurt, and a banana.
After taking her medication, she said, “I’m going to sleep again,” lay down, and we’re spending the morning taking it easy.
Perhaps due to lingering effects from the low-pressure system that passed through overnight, my mother has been complaining that she “doesn’t feel very well,”
so it looks like today will be a day for her to rest without pushing herself.

👟 A Morning Filled with the Voices of Elementary Schoolers
Around 7:30 a.m., I heard the sound of footsteps running down the apartment hallway and lively voices.
Listening closely from the balcony, the children’s voices from the nearby elementary school carried on the strong wind,
making for a **lively and heartwarming Okinawan morning**.
🌬 The View from the Balcony in the Strong East Wind
The cherry tree visible from the balcony is swaying vigorously, and while there is some sunlight, the sky is mostly cloudy.
It feels less like a sunny day and more like a “bright, cloudy” one.
The wind is blowing from the east today, and it’s particularly strong on the balcony side,
so I can only open the window a little.
It looks like this wind will continue throughout the day.

🏠 Planning to Relax at Home Today
Given my mother’s health, we’re planning to stay home today instead of going out.
The forecast says the atmospheric pressure will ease up this afternoon, so my mother might just grab the vacuum cleaner and get moving, but
for the most part, it looks like we’ll be taking it easy, **dozing in and out of sleep**.

🛒 Recent Shopping and the State of Supermarkets in Okinawa
Since the start of this week, the food court has felt a bit calmer.
The other day, I ordered coffee and fries at A&W, and my mom had a juice;
it was nice to take it easy, and it was a good change of pace.
At supermarkets in Okinawa right now,
– **daikon radish**
– **Spring cabbage**
are on sale,
and locally grown **mustard greens and spinach** are starting to appear as well.
Leafy greens are still a bit pricey, but you can really feel the seasons changing.

📝 Summary

This morning in Okinawa, the strong winds made me feel the changing seasons.
I plan to take it easy and spend the day peacefully, keeping an eye on my mother’s health.
