🍕 Lunch at Pizza House Jr. (with Mom and my little brother)
Today, unusually, Mom said, “I want to go out somewhere.”
When I asked, “Where do you want to go?” she only replied, “I don’t know.”
It seemed she just felt like getting out of the house and going somewhere.
So, we decided to go to Pizza House Jr. for lunch.
🏠 What is Pizza House Jr?
Pizza House Jr. is an American-style restaurant that’s been popular in Okinawa for a long time.
It has a casual family restaurant vibe, making it popular with families.
The menu features:
Pizza
Pasta
Taco Rice
Steak
Soups and Bread
and more – a lineup blending American culture with Okinawan food traditions.
The appeal is that everything is easy and enjoyable.

The extensive menu makes it hard to choose.
Many people order takeout, so it’s always crowded during lunchtime.
🍽 Today’s Order
Today, the three of us ordered various items and enjoyed sharing a little of each.
Pizza Set (S-size pizza and coffee)
Combo Set (Mini Taco Rice, Pasta, Bread, Soup)
Taco Doria (Taco Rice in a doria style)
Mom can’t eat large portions,
but she’s the type who “wants to try a little of everything,” so we got extra plates and divided everything up for her.
She grumbled, “This plus soup is too much,”
but she ate it all.
It’s reassuring to see her eat even a little, helping her maintain her strength.

🌿 Just going outside is a nice change of pace.
When Mom said she wanted to go out,
maybe she just wanted to change her mood.
Even if it’s only for a short time,
going outside, eating a meal with family,
sharing a few laughs, having a little chat.
I felt that time was precious
for both Mom and for us.
