🌤️ Refreshing Morning Air
Good morning.
This morning: 18°C, sunny.
It’s turned into a refreshing morning, promising a crisp and pleasant day ahead.
Opening the window, cool air flows into the room, bringing that light, refreshing chill typical of winter in Okinawa.
The morning light streamed in softly, and the sky’s color made me naturally feel that today would be another good day.
While going through my morning routine, I boiled water as usual, prepared tea for my mother, and hung out the laundry.
This sequence of actions is an important time for me, setting the rhythm for my day.
Listening to the sounds of the house gradually coming to life, I felt grateful to have safely welcomed another morning.

🌸 The cherry blossoms have started to bloom
Then this morning, when I went to see the cherry tree beside the apartment building, a single blossom had finally opened.
Just one bud, but it was definitely blooming.
The moment I spotted that tiny flower, a warmth suddenly filled my heart.
When the cherry blossoms begin to bloom, it adds one more daily joy.
It looks like I’ll be able to write my “Sakura Diary” again this year.
Observing the buds swell and watching them gradually take on color is a precious time for me to feel the seasons.
I think they’ll bloom slowly over the next month or so.
Some years, the leaves come out at the same time, but so far this year, I haven’t seen any leaves.
That means this year should be one where I can really enjoy the flowers, and I’m already looking forward to it.

🌿 Time to Enjoy the “Process” of Cherry Blossoms
While cherry blossoms in full bloom are certainly beautiful, I especially love this early stage when they begin to open.
The buds gradually swell, their color changes, and then one morning you glance over and see a single blossom open—
Noticing these small changes brings joy to my everyday life.
It will still take time before they reach full bloom, but this “waiting time” is also part of the charm of cherry blossoms.
Watching them bloom slowly, unhurriedly, in nature’s own time.
That process calms my heart.
🕊️ Let’s take it easy and do our best today too
The morning air felt refreshing, and seeing that single cherry blossom made for a very peaceful start to the day.
Putting it into words like this makes me realize how many small joys exist within the ordinary days.
📘 Summary
It will still take time until full bloom, but watching this process is enjoyable in itself.
This year too, I want to spend my days savoring the slow unfolding of the cherry blossoms.
Without rushing, slowly, in tune with nature’s rhythm.
Looking forward to the day of full bloom, may today be a good day.
