🌤️ This Morning’s Weather and Outside Conditions
The strong north wind that started last night continued this morning, blowing so hard I couldn’t open the window. Looking out at the balcony, the asphalt was wet—it seems it rained around dawn. The temperature is 18°C, with a forecast high of 19°C, but it feels 2-3°C cooler and quite chilly. The bamboo sways heavily, and the cherry tree branches shake in the gusts. Clouds flowed across the sky from northwest to south, a typical seasonal transition sky.

☕ A Slow Start to the Morning and Mom’s Condition
This morning, I woke up slowly without rushing and prepared coffee. After warming up the donuts bought at the convenience store, I woke Mom up. She grumbled but got up without much fuss. Breakfast was frozen fruit with yogurt and honey, plus a banana. She said she wouldn’t eat the donuts, so I offered one to my father’s Buddhist altar. After taking her medicine and changing clothes, Mom started her usual routine: vacuuming, then mopping the floors with a Quickle Wiper. After that, she relaxed in bed.

🛒 Afternoon Shopping and the “Memory Shortage” Woes
This afternoon, we plan to go shopping for laundry detergent and groceries. I always intend to make a shopping list before leaving, but I often forget it once we get to the supermarket. It’s a real problem. I wish I could “upgrade my brain’s memory,” but the reality is it doesn’t work like a computer. I just have to laugh wryly at myself.

🌿 Signs of Early Summer Seen Through the Window
Despite the strong wind, the cherry trees have fully changed into young leaves, giving off an early summer vibe. The bamboo sways its deep green leaves in the wind, and the entire apartment complex garden feels like a scene showing the changing seasons. Though the north wind made it a bit chilly, seeing my mother looking well was heartening this morning. She’s eager to go shopping this afternoon, so it looks like today will be another positive day.

📝 Summary
Though the strong north wind made for a chilly morning, the fresh green leaves of the cherry blossoms and the vibrant green of the bamboo hinted at early summer’s arrival. My mother was in good spirits and managed her usual cleaning routine, making for a morning that felt a little lighter. With afternoon shopping ahead, today promises to be another day of steady, unhurried progress.
