🌇 Afternoon Scenery
After my mother returned from her centenarian exercises and rested for a while, we went shopping in the afternoon.
Today we drove to the San-A in Kyozuka. The sunlight inside the car was intense, warm enough that opening the windows didn’t feel cold. In fact, it was almost a bit hot, with dazzling rays streaming in.

🛒 Shopping at a leisurely pace
When we got to the first floor, her walking pace was slow today, and she seemed a bit unsteady, so I had her hold onto the cart as we walked.
This also helped prevent falls, so we slowly made our way around the store using this method today.
What we bought today:
- Salmon
- Ham
- Milk
- Sweet bread
We walked slowly through the store, double-checking we hadn’t forgotten anything.
🧴 Replenishing daily necessities at the Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstore
We also stopped by Matsumoto Kiyoshi on the same floor,
purchasing:
- Cold medicine
- Body soap
- Toilet paper
- Disposable underwear
We were able to fully restock the necessary items.
🍩 Taking a break at Mister Donut
After finishing shopping, we took a break at Mister Donut.
Mom ordered one donut and hot lemon tea, while I got coffee. We spent a while relaxing.
Mom seems to find these moments a nice change of pace too.

🏟️ Scenery on the way home
The weather was beautiful on the way back. We passed by the baseball field, but it looked like practice wasn’t happening today.
There were only a few people around. Mom and I chatted about it on our way home, saying things like, “Maybe they’re off today?” and “Maybe they’re at another field?”

🛏️ Mom’s condition after getting home
Back home, she seemed tired from the centenarian exercises and shopping. “I’ll rest a bit,” she said, lying down on the bed to watch TV.
Since she has a hospital appointment early tomorrow morning, I hope she can relax and rest this afternoon.
🌸 Summary
The weather was nice today, and we finished shopping without any issues.
Mom’s walking pace was slow, but she didn’t fall and we got through safely, so I’m relieved.
To prepare for tomorrow’s hospital visit, I plan to let her rest well today.
