🍽️ Lunch at San-A Ginowan

While we were eating lunch, my mother said, “Let’s go shopping,” so we headed to San-A Ginowan for the first time in a while.

However, as soon as we entered the store, her usual **“I feel sick” and “I have a headache”** started up again; it seemed to be one of those days when her body couldn’t keep up with the change in environment.

I quickly found a shopping cart for her to hold onto, and we walked slowly to **Joyful** in the food court.

My mother said, “Just a little is fine,” so I ordered a Pepper Lunch-style hamburger steak along with a drink and soup bar.

I had her drink some water first, and when I handed her the clam chowder, she seemed to calm down a bit.

Once the food arrived, I switched her to chopsticks since using a knife and fork was too difficult.

Even though she kept saying she felt sick, she ate **about 70% of the hamburger steak and half the rice**, so that was enough for today.

On days like this, I try to tell myself, “It’s good enough just to have eaten what she could.”

🛒 Shopping at Matsumoto Kiyoshi and heading home

After eating, she said, “I want to go to Matsumoto Kiyoshi,” so we bought what she needed.

We also picked up some laundry detergent and other items, but skipped the grocery section and headed straight home.

It was one of those afternoons where you just think, **“Well, days like this happen.”**

🌊 The “Ocean View” in front of Ginowan Arena

The restaurant area at San-A Ginowan faces Ginowan Arena,

  • – Wafutei
  • – Osaka Ohsho
  • – Joyful
  • – Coffee Tamamu

These four restaurants are lined up side by side.

Every restaurant has a **stunning ocean view** from the window seats.

My mother and I usually choose a table near the entrance, but tourists are often seated by the windows.

If you avoid peak hours, it’s easy to request a window seat, so

I highly recommend enjoying a **“lunch with a view of the ocean”** while you’re traveling in Okinawa.

✨ Summary

Today was one of those days when my mother’s health was a bit unstable, but

  • – She was able to eat a little
  • – We got the shopping done
  • – We made it home safely

That alone made for a fulfilling afternoon.

The San-A in Ginowan has great views and is a place where you can relax, so I hope to visit again on a day when she’s feeling better.
