🌸Morning Scene｜A quiet morning with a light haze

Good morning.

This morning in Okinawa, the forecast calls for a high of 23°C.
It’s lightly overcast with almost no wind, and opening the windows wide provides just the right coolness.
Keeping the room closed makes it a bit warm, so I’m letting the breeze flow through comfortably from the morning.

A Slow Start to the Morning

As usual, I brewed coffee before waking my mother.
I spread butter on yesterday’s leftover koppepan bread and warmed it in the oven.
My mother had yogurt with frozen fruit and banana.
She said, “This is fine,” so it was a light breakfast.

After giving her medicine and checking her blood pressure, my mother flopped down to watch TV.
Meanwhile, I started the washing machine and dishwasher, and the house slowly began to stir.

The balcony breeze and another morning nap

Hanging the laundry, the breeze passing through the balcony felt incredibly pleasant,
a morning that made me want to take a deep breath without thinking.

By the time I finished hanging it, Mom said, “I’m going back to sleep,” turned off the TV,
and would probably sleep for about an hour.
That time is my blog time.
In the quiet house, I can relax a little.

🌸 The state of the cherry blossoms visible from the balcony

The cherry blossoms have started to bloom.
More buds are appearing, and the entire branches are gradually turning pink.
Though hardly any flowers are open yet,
I can see the color deepening just a little bit each morning when I look.

Watching them while thinking, “They’ll probably bloom a bit more today too,”
has become my recent morning pleasure.

Afternoon shopping trip

This afternoon, my brother, mom, and I plan to go shopping together.
We’re out of bananas, so we’ll look for locally grown ones at the farmers market.
Mom wants apple bananas. Hopefully they have some.

Leafy greens have been cheaper lately, so I plan to buy some if I find good ones.
Mom has been saying her “stomach feels off” lately,
so I’m hoping eating more vegetables and getting some fiber might help a little.

Morning chores are done

Next week’s forecast calls for warmer temperatures with rain and cloudy days.
Since the laundry’s done today, my morning tasks are wrapped up.
I should be able to relax a bit now.

🌸 Summary

Just as cherry blossom buds swell little by little,
another peaceful morning has begun today.
I plan to take it easy until our afternoon shopping trip.
