☁️ This Morning’s Air and Temperature
Good morning.
This morning in Urasoe, the skies were cloudy, and it was a quiet morning with hardly a breeze. The temperature is 22°C, with a forecast high of 25°C. Even with the balcony door and front door open, there’s no breeze, and the air feels damp.
The forecast calls for cloudy skies with occasional rain throughout the day, but it looks like we might see a few sunny breaks in the evening.

🍞 Breakfast and Mom’s Health
This morning, I started the washing machine right after waking up, cleared out the dishwasher from last night, and then prepared breakfast.
Mom had half an anpan bun, frozen fruit with yogurt, leftovers from yesterday, and a banana. She ate quite a substantial breakfast for the morning and even finished a small cup of coffee.
After eating, she took her medication, checked her blood pressure, and then rested comfortably in bed.
She seems to have a slight migraine, perhaps due to the cloudy weather, but overall she seems to be doing well, which is a relief. She responded immediately when I called out, “Time to get up,” so it looks like she’ll be able to go to day care this afternoon without any issues.

🧺 Laundry and plans for the laundromat
I did the laundry, but it doesn’t look like it will dry well in this weather. Rain is forecast for tomorrow morning too, and I want to avoid letting the laundry pile up, so I plan to go to the laundromat this afternoon.
I’m thinking of going to Kyozuka San-A, but it’s been pretty crowded lately due to spring break, even on weekdays. I’ll check the availability online, and if it’s busy, I’ll head to a different location. It’s really convenient to be able to check the occupancy rate at times like this.

🏙️ News About Naha OPA
Something that’s been on my mind lately is the news about tenants pulling out of Naha OPA. A friend posted a photo on Facebook, and it looks like the place is almost completely empty.
It’s located above the Naha Bus Terminal, and even though there’s a library on the same floor, it doesn’t seem like people are heading toward OPA. Tourists take the monorail to Kokusai Street, so there aren’t many people getting on or off there, and it feels like Kumoji has become the main hub.
Maybe things would change if there were some kind of pathway, but I haven’t been there myself in a while, so it might be a good idea to go check out the situation.

🌿 The Changing Seasons Seen from the Balcony
The view from my balcony this morning was refreshing even under cloudy skies, with no chill and just the right temperature. The young leaves of the cherry trees have turned a deep green, and with spring ending, there’s a hint of early summer in the air.
When I’m driving, I catch glimpses of seasonal flowers, but it’s a shame I can’t stop to take photos because there’s no parking. The Japanese flame tree (Caenobotryum) seems to be starting to bloom; when I look at photos online, I think, “That’s it,” but it’s quite difficult to capture the real thing.
The Phalaenopsis orchids on the street trees are also in bloom, but I couldn’t stop the car there either, so I gave up on taking photos. It looks like I’ll just have to commit them to memory for now.

✨ Summary
It was a quiet morning under cloudy skies, but my mother is feeling well, so the day has started off calmly. Laundry, the laundromat, local news, and the seasonal flowers—the small changes of daily life are flowing peacefully by once again today.
Hoping that this afternoon’s day care and trip to the laundromat go smoothly, I plan to take it easy for the rest of the day.

This electric nail clipper is especially helpful when trimming nails becomes difficult or unsafe. Since the blade is enclosed, it feels much safer, and it requires almost no effort. A small tool that truly lightens the caregiving load
This cushion is perfect for anyone who feels discomfort after sitting for long periods. It stabilizes posture and makes both home and day‑care seating much more comfortable. It has noticeably reduced my mother’s ‘sitting fatigue.’
