🌦️ This Morning’s Weather and Atmosphere
It’s raining in Urasoe this morning. The temperature is 22°C, with a forecast high of 26°C. While it doesn’t feel cold, a strong wind of 8 m/s was blowing.
Humidity was high at 85%, but even with the windows open, it didn’t feel chilly—the air was actually quite refreshing. The young leaves on the cherry tree on the balcony swayed vigorously, the clouds in the sky grew thicker and thicker, and the wind, carrying the scent of rain, drifted all the way into the room.

🍞 Morning Routine and My Mother’s Health
I woke up at the usual time this morning, immediately started the washing machine, and began preparing breakfast.
I had bread and coffee, and since my mother said she’d like tea, I brewed some and brought it to her.
However, perhaps because of the cloudy sky, my mother said, “I have a headache and feel sick,” and her appetite wasn’t great.
I encouraged her a little, and she ate about half of it. She drank all of her tea before taking her medicine.
I think she’ll spend the time until noon lying down in bed. It looks like today will be a slow-paced day.

🛒 Today’s Plans and Shopping
For lunch, Mom said she wanted to go to Matsumoto Kiyoshi, so we’ll stop by the laundromat on our way to do some shopping.
Since we can take care of everything at the same San-A, we plan to go to Kyozuka San-A today.

🌧️ A Week of Rain and Laundry Situations
The weather forecast shows rain every day for about a week starting today.
Although there will be occasional sunny spells, it looks like it will mostly be rainy.
It looks like I’ll be running the washing machine while keeping an eye on the weather for a while, so I’ll probably be visiting the laundromat more often.

🥕 Recent Grocery Finds and Dinner Plans
Daikon radishes have been cheap in Okinawa lately; while they usually cost close to 200 yen, I was able to buy them on sale for 98 yen.
Last night, I made a stew with daikon, chikuwa, fish cakes, and shimeji mushrooms.
The seasoning was simple—sake, sugar, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and a dashi packet—and the parboiled daikon absorbed the flavors nicely.
I have carrots today as well, so I’m thinking of making pork miso soup for dinner.
A bunch of “karashina” greens has also started appearing for around 159 yen, making me feel the changing seasons.

🌂 Rain on the Balcony and My Mood Today
While writing this post, I looked out at the balcony and saw that it had started raining.
It was coming down so hard that rain would have gotten into the room if I hadn’t closed the window, so I hurried to shut it.
I get worried when my mother’s health isn’t great for several days in a row, but this is just the natural course of things.
Listening to the sound of the rain, I plan to take it easy and do my best today as well.

✨ Summary
– This morning was marked by rain, strong winds, and humid air
– My mother isn’t feeling well, so it’s going to be a quiet day
– In the afternoon, I went shopping and to the laundromat
– Daikon radishes were on sale, so I plan to make pork miso soup for dinner
– As the seasons change and the rain continues, it’s important not to push myself too hard
Let’s spend today peacefully, going with the flow of nature.

It’s very convenient for quick daily cleaning or sanitizing your hands when you return home from being out.
In caregiving situations, having a “ready-to-use sanitizing item” provides peace of mind, and it’s handy to keep one in the kitchen or entryway.
Especially in Okinawa, where humidity is high, having one on hand is a reassuring way to combat germs.
The tray, with its soothing wood grain finish, is a versatile item that’s easy to use whether you’re carrying morning bread and coffee
or serving your mother’s meal.
Lightweight and easy to handle, it blends naturally into your daily life,
and we recommend it as a household tool that “makes small chores a little easier.”
