🌧️ Thoughts on a Rainy Morning

☕ Starting the Morning

I woke up to the sound of rain this morning and started the washing machine as soon as I got up. There was a thunderstorm warning, but the sky is gradually brightening, and the forecast calls for sunny spells by evening. However, considering the amount of laundry, I feel it’s **highly likely** I’ll have to go to the laundromat.

The temperature is already 25°C, and the humidity is on the high side. While it’s not quite muggy yet, the air feels like “pre-rainy season in Okinawa.”

🛌 My Mother’s Health and the Low-Pressure System

On rainy days, my mother also gets up slowly and complained of a headache and fatigue. Instead of bread, she ate a banana this morning, took her medicine, and is now resting in bed.

According to the weather app, a low-pressure system is passing through, and this weather is expected to continue until the evening. Since the forecast says it will clear up once the low-pressure system passes, I guess I’ll have to take the laundry to the laundromat after all.

🍃 View from the Balcony

The rain has stopped for now, but when I open the window, a strong, humid breeze blows through for a moment. The fresh green cherry leaves are swaying, and it feels like rain is on the way again.

It’s been cloudy but warm these past few days, so the fan is a must. It was a morning where I could feel the onset of summer as I let the breeze flow through the room.

🛍️ A Moment at Parco Yesterday

Yesterday afternoon, my mother went to day care, so I went shopping alone for the first time in a while. The Parco parking lot was 60% full on the north side and 80% full on the south side, with only the rooftop available. Luckily, I was able to park near the entrance, which was a big help since I was buying two cases of tea.

I walked around the mall, but my desire to shop has waned lately, so I didn’t have anything specific to buy—it was just a time to stroll leisurely.

🌏 Encounters with Tourists

Inside the mall, there were many people who looked like tourists from Taiwan. The atmosphere of quiet conversation reminded me of my Taiwanese friend, making me think, “Is this Taiwan?”

Also, the other day at a bus stop, a young woman from Malaysia asked me, “Parco?” When I told her there was no bus, she went back to get her car and I drove her to Parco.

It seems Parco has become a popular spot for tourists lately.

✨Summary

Rainy mornings put both my body and mind into a slow-paced mode, but looking back on the scenery and the people I met, it was a day filled with small moments of movement even amidst the quiet.

Once the low-pressure system passes, I’ll get the laundry done, and I think I’ll be able to enjoy another pleasant day.

On rainy days when the humidity rises, a compact quiet dehumidifier makes the room feel much more comfortable. It also helps laundry dry faster indoors, which is a big relief when the weather is unstable.

Simply placing this dehumidifier in the bedroom or living room helps remove excess moisture and keeps the air light. It’s especially helpful on days when your body feels sluggish due to low pressure or high humidity.
