☁️ This Morning’s Sky and Air

This morning in Urasoe, a quiet, steady rain is falling.

It’s not heavy, but the light drizzle continues, and the air feels crisp.

A slight north wind has picked up, bringing a coolness that feels typical of the changing seasons.

I opened the front door and the balcony to let in some fresh air, but it got colder than I expected, so I decided to close the front door.

Outside, even though it’s a Saturday and school is out, I can hear the energetic voices of elementary school kids heading to the swimming school next door.

According to the weather forecast, the rain is expected to continue until around Wednesday.

The scenery I captured in this morning’s photo also had a somewhat subdued color palette.

🌿 My Mother’s Morning and Some Leisurely Time

This morning, both my mother and I woke up a little later than usual.

She got up after I called out to her once, but she started the day by grumbling, “I’m still sleepy.”

For breakfast, I gave my mother rice balls and green tea.

I had a light meal of leftover bread from yesterday and coffee.

After breakfast, my mother took her medicine and went back to bed.

She lies down with the TV on, dozing in and out while coping with her painful migraine.

She says she wants to go shopping, but since both the weather and her health are unstable today, I plan to wait and see how she feels before deciding.

🌧️ Seasonal Changes and Health Management

This time of year, just before the rainy season begins, is when my asthma tends to flare up.

On humid days, it’s hard to breathe, and sometimes I can’t stop coughing.

I usually take my inhaler, “Adair,” once a day, but during this season, there are days when I have to take it three times: in the morning, at noon, and before bed.

Since I’m also caring for my mother, this is a season when I have to be even more careful than usual to avoid getting sick.

🧹 Tidying Up for Air Conditioner Installation

Today and tomorrow, I’ll be tidying up to make room for the air conditioner installation.

There’s a lot of stuff on the balcony, and the weather’s bad, so I plan to tackle it at a “half today, half tomorrow” pace.

Even just moving the shelves and boxes around the room is a big job, so I’ll take it slow and not push myself too hard.

My mom’s been sleeping most of the day today, so I’m doing almost all the work by myself.

My younger brother is coming to help tomorrow, so I should be able to make some progress.

🍔 A New Restaurant in a Nostalgic Spot

I was browsing online and saw that a new A&W restaurant has opened.

It’s inside Plaza House, and the concept seems to be an “adult space” where you can enjoy alcohol depending on the time of day.

Speaking of Plaza House, it’s a place full of memories—back when my mother worked as a tailor for men’s suits, I used to go pick her up at the factory in the back.

It’s been over 50 years since those days when my father would park the car and I’d walk to the factory in the back.

It’s completely changed now, but a wave of nostalgia suddenly washed over me.

🌦️ The Last Day of Golden Week

It looks like it’s going to be another rainy day today, but Golden Week is finally coming to an end.

Even if the weather is bad, it’s the perfect time to relax at home.

I plan to take it easy and enjoy a quiet Saturday.
