Good morning.

The sky is cloudy today, with rain forecast later, but the temperature isn’t too low, making for a comfortable morning.

The current temperature is 21°C.

It looks like laundry might be difficult today, but since I finished it yesterday, I’m taking it easy this morning.

Opening the window, even under the cloudy sky, there’s a faint brightness,

giving me time to quietly gather my thoughts, wondering, “What kind of day will today be?”

Cloudy days have a different, calmer atmosphere than sunny ones,

making time spent indoors feel a little more pleasant.

🌸 The Cherry Blossoms Next to the Apartment

The weather seems to be turning bad over the weekend, with heavy snow forecast for mainland Japan.

Here in Okinawa, we won’t get snow, but the north wind looks like it might pick up a bit.

Swaying in that wind, the cherry blossoms next to the apartment are slowly starting to bloom.

Stepping out onto the balcony each morning to check on the blossoms has become a small pleasure lately.

Noticing even the slightest change—buds swelling a bit more than yesterday, colors deepening

brings me joy.

It seems full bloom is still some time away,

but perhaps this very “waiting time” is the charm of cherry blossoms.

🌼 Beyond cherry blossoms, it’s a season of blooming flowers

I saw on the news recently that the “Tulip Festival” has started at the Tropical Dream Center in Ocean Expo Park.

I visited a few years ago, but since it’s a bit far from where I live now,

I think I’ll skip it this time.

Even so, seeing the colorful tulips through the screen was very beautiful,

and it made me feel spring is approaching.

Also, cosmos are starting to bloom all over Okinawa.

They’re grown by sowing seeds in fields after the rice harvest,

and since rice planting starts next month, the viewing period is short.

I hope I can visit at least one spot.

Cosmos fields swaying in the wind are truly beautiful,

and it’s a fun season for taking photos.
