🍳 Simple Stir-Fried Rice for Lunch

Right after noon, I started preparing lunch. Since Mom said she “didn’t feel like eating much,” I decided to make a light stir-fried rice dish today.

Ingredients used:

– 2 sausages

– Half an onion

– 3 lettuce leaves

– A little green onion

I greased a frying pan, sliced the sausages that had been “hibernating” in the freezer, and tossed them in. I cracked in an egg, mixed it in, and cooked it through. I lightly sautéed the onion, added the white rice, and gently mixed everything together. Finally, I added chopped lettuce, seasoned with salt and pepper, umami seasoning, green onion, and a splash of soy sauce to finish. Simple, but it turned out fragrant and delicious.

🛒 Shopping at Sanei Kyozuka

Mom said she’d lie down and rest after lunch, so I left her be and headed to Sanei Kyozuka for shopping. I went straight to the rooftop parking lot without hesitation. Parked near the entrance and took the escalator to the sales floor.

As I approached the sales floor, music was playing, and it seemed like someone was doing a live performance. I was in a hurry, so I just walked past and grabbed a shopping basket to head to the aisles.

Lately, daikon radishes are cheap at every supermarket, which is easy on the household budget. However, since I still had some left from the last time I bought them, I passed today. I bought bread for tomorrow morning and some snacks since my aunt was coming.

After that, I stopped by Matsumoto Kiyoshi to buy cold medicine my mom asked for. When I returned to the rooftop, the sky was surprisingly clear, and I could see the ocean from the high point of Sanei Kyozuka. I could even see the Kerama Islands faintly in the distance—it was a pleasant view. (Photo planned)

🌤 Afternoon Weather and Town Scenes

Afternoon temperature: 23°C. A light breeze, but it felt a bit warm in the sun. I saw people who looked like tourists walking around wearing hats or towels wrapped around their heads.

It’s been quite a hot day again today.

🏡 Aunt’s Visit and Mom’s Change of Pace

In the afternoon, my aunt (my mom’s younger sister) came to check on Mom. Since they’re the only two sisters, she visits like this when she has time. They chatted happily for about two hours, mostly reminiscing about old times. I think it was a nice change of pace for Mom.

✈️ Picking Up My Brother at the Airport in the Evening

I’m planning to go pick up my brother at the airport this evening. When I asked Mom, “Want to come?” she immediately replied, “Yes.”

I told her, “Then go to the bathroom and change clothes,” and once she’s ready, we’ll head to the airport.

After that, we plan to go out for a meal together as a family for the first time in a while.

With my father’s first anniversary approaching, this should be a precious time for the family to be together.
