☀️ This Morning’s Air and Temperature
Good morning.
Since it’s Saturday, the morning started off slowly. The temperature is around 20°C, with the forecast predicting a high of 23°C. The sun will be out until around noon, with clouds expected in the afternoon. Opening the window and front door a crack let the outside air flow in smoothly, instantly refreshing the room. The cool morning breeze felt pleasant, naturally putting me in the mood to think, “Let’s do our best today.”

🛏️ Morning Routine and Mom’s Condition
Got up at 8:00 AM. First, I started the washing machine, boiled water in the kettle, then woke Mom. When I called out, “Wake up~, wake up for a bit~,” she got up smoothly today. On sunny days, her headaches seem milder, and her expression is calm.

🍳 Today’s Breakfast
This morning was Japanese-style, a simple yet gentle menu for the body.
– Dashi-flavored rolled omelet
– Salt-grilled salmon
– Bacon
– Cucumber pickled in rice bran
I always make a batch of dashi broth in a 2-liter container. I just pour some into a bowl, mix in eggs and concentrated mentsuyu sauce, and cook it. Once the omelet is done, I grill the salmon, then add the bacon last to finish it off with residual heat. I serve the rice to my mother, offer a little to my father’s Buddhist altar, and our day quietly begins.
☕ A Post-Meal Break and Mom’s Actions
After eating, I brew coffee and offer some to Dad. I get Mom to take her medicine and check her blood pressure; today she moves smoothly.
“I’ll vacuum,” she announces, grabbing the handheld vacuum and wandering around the house. She cleaned for about 20 minutes. It’s good exercise and a sign she’s feeling well.
After that, she sat watching TV and chatted about this and that, so I nodded along while writing my blog. After resting a bit, she started using the Quickle Wiper. She seemed really energetic today, which was reassuring.

🚗 Today’s Plans and Family Matters
My brother is coming from Tokyo today for Dad’s first anniversary memorial. Mom was all fired up about “going to pick him up at the airport,” but I calmed her down by explaining, “It’s in the evening. We’ll be shopping at noon.”
Tomorrow we have the memorial service at the funeral hall, so we’ll need to get up early. I’d like Mom to take it easy today and relax, but whether that happens depends entirely on her.

🌸 This Morning’s Cherry Blossoms
The cherry blossoms outside my window are in full bloom. Bathed in the morning sunlight, their petals glow intensely, and just looking at them soothes my heart. Insects gather to sip the nectar, and birds follow them, making for a slightly lively morning.
Feeling the changing seasons, another peaceful day begins.
