☀️ This Morning’s Sky and Weather Changes
Good morning.
This morning in Urasoe, there were patches of blue sky, but the weather forecast says **warning-level rain is expected starting this afternoon**. The temperature is 21°C, with a high forecast of 23°C, and it’s reported that rain will begin shortly. Wind speeds are forecast at 3-6 m/s. Clouds have been gradually increasing in the sky since early morning, and humidity has also risen.
Opening the window, a refreshing breeze swept through the house, instantly replacing the stale air. Looking outside, I saw elementary school children energetically singing as they walked to school. This heartwarming sight naturally woke me up.

👵 Mom’s Morning Routine and Health Changes
It was time to wake Mom up as usual.
“Get up~!” I called out, but today she seemed a bit reluctant. “I got up for the bathroom last night, so I’m not getting up again,” came the reply from under the covers.
“Get up once for breakfast, medicine, and then blood pressure!” I urged. Reluctantly, she got up and made her way to the bathroom, holding onto the handrail. Even after returning, she seemed dazed for a while, struggling to get moving. But gradually, she seemed to wake up more, and finally managed breakfast and her medicine.
After finishing her blood pressure check, I told her, “You can watch TV while lying down,” and she wobbled back to bed.
Today, **a low-pressure system is forecast to pass through around noon**, making it a day prone to migraines. It looks like she’ll probably spend the day resting.
Last night was warm, and the muggy heat might have made it hard to sleep. I ended up sleeping with the fan on low too. I think Mom’s sleep was shallow not just because of the bathroom trip, but also the humid heat.

🌸 Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom and the Feeling of Rain
Today the cherry blossoms are **in full bloom**.
They bloom densely all the way to the base of the branches, radiant as if saying, “Now is the best time to see us.” The sky is gradually clouding over, but the blossoms are full of life, standing tall and dignified in the calm before the rain.
Cherry blossoms drenched in rain also have their own charm; just gazing at that view from the window soothes my heart.
The sky grew progressively darker, heavy clouds hung low, and it felt like they were gathering raindrops. The wind carried humidity, transforming the air into one that seemed ready to rain any moment.

🏡 Today’s Chores and Routine
Knowing yesterday’s forecast predicted rain for today, I didn’t hang any laundry. The dishwasher only has this morning’s dishes, so I plan to run it after lunch.
This leaves me with a little extra time in the morning. I’m listening to the radio while keeping an eye on Mom and writing this blog post.
Rainy days bring quiet sounds from outside, and time spent indoors flows slowly. It was such a calm morning that I thought I might do some reading this afternoon while watching over Mom’s health.
🌧️ Today’s Summary
