🌅 This Morning’s Sky and Temperature
It’s a perfectly clear, cloudless morning. The temperature is 18°C, and it’s forecast to reach 22°C during the day.
From the balcony, there’s hardly any wind; neither the tips of the bamboo nor the cherry blossom branches are moving.
The chirping of birds echoes through the quiet morning. As I hung out the laundry and looked up at the sky, I could feel the atmosphere of early summer spreading around me.
The cherry blossoms have completely turned into fresh green leaves, shining blue in the sunlight. The bamboo leaves sway occasionally—it’s a pleasant morning.

🍩 Last Night’s Shopping and Breakfast
Last night, I went to “Town Plaza Kanehide Makiminato 58 Market.”
Since they put discount stickers on items late at night, I went to buy some donuts while taking a post-dinner walk.
This morning, I had half of those donuts for breakfast, served with frozen fruit and yogurt.
After offering donuts and coffee at my father’s Buddhist altar, I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with my mother.
My mother left a little yogurt behind, saying, “I’ll eat it for lunch,” and is now watching TV.

👵 How My Mother Is Doing and Today’s Plans
Mom is feeling well today, and she plans to go to day care this afternoon.
I’m thinking of going shopping while she’s gone, but I’m still a bit undecided about whether to go to Kyozuka San-A.
If I buy some thinly sliced pork, I’ll be fine, so I plan to decide the rest while browsing the store.
Daikon radishes and Chinese cabbage have been cheap lately, so they’d be good for pickling.
At the farmers’ market, there are piles of cabbage and celery, making me feel the changing seasons.
Green beans are also cheap, and they’re handy for meat rolls or tempura.

🌿 Seasonal Changes Visible from the Balcony
The cherry blossoms have mostly turned into young leaves, and the green swaying in the breeze glows in the morning sun.
The bamboo leaves are lush and green, bringing a hint of early summer along with the soft sunlight.
The quiet, refreshing morning air made me feel like I was off to a great start for the day.
