## ☁️ This Morning’s Sky and Air
It’s currently 24°C, with a forecast high of 26°C.
Perhaps because of the heavy thunderstorm early this morning, the air feels moist.
The sky is cloudy, with winds of 1–2 m/s.
It’s a quiet morning, with the breeze occasionally sweeping through from the entrance to the balcony.
It looks like the sky will stay cloudy like this all day.
I finished the laundry yesterday, so I’m able to take it easy a bit this morning.
🍳 How Mom Is Doing This Morning
Mom woke up slowly.
She said she had a headache yesterday evening, but she seems calm this morning, which is a relief.
Breakfast was the usual: dashimaki tamago, grilled salmon, and bacon.
She finished everything, so she doesn’t seem to be feeling unwell.
After eating, she took her medicine, lay down in bed, and is spending her time watching TV.
It looks like she’ll take it easy today and have a relaxed day.
📞 The Battle Against a Suspicious Phone Call
The other day, I was relaxing in the afternoon after coming home from shopping.
Suddenly, the phone rang, and a suspicious voice said, “This is the post office…”
> “We inspected your mail and found illegal items, so you’re under investigation…”
It was clearly a scam.
When I snapped, “What mail are you talking about?!!”,
the person kept spouting a scripted explanation.
I got so angry,
> “You’re a scammer!! What kind of nonsense are you spouting?!”
I cut them off in one go,
I didn’t give them a chance to respond,
and ended the call with, “Don’t ever call me again!!”
I’m still angry about having my afternoon time stolen.
If they call again, I plan to use the “don’t let them speak” strategy.
☕ A Relaxing Weekend
I have no particular plans today—it’s a cloudy weekend.
I’m brewing some coffee and taking my time writing this blog post.
The sound of the beans grinding and the aroma
suddenly reminded me of when I used to work at a café.
It was a local shop, not too busy,
and I used to brew coffee in that relaxed atmosphere.
I still look back on that time with fondness.
