☀️ A Clear, Sunny Morning in Okinawa—A Perfect Start for Laundry Day
This morning in Urasoe, Okinawa, the weather was pleasant with a clear blue sky.
With temperatures **around 24–26°C** and humidity not too high, it was an “ideal sunny morning” for drying laundry.
Since there was a brief rain shower around 3:00 p.m. yesterday, I left the laundry hanging outside and decided to let it dry thoroughly in the morning sun today.
Before heading out, I added a blanket to the line, and it should be nice and fluffy by evening.
After finishing my morning chores, I left the house at 9:30 a.m. and headed to the computer class in Yui-no-Machi.
💻 Final Preparations for the Exam at the Computer Class
Today was the day for final preparations for the Nissho Document Creation Level 3 exam.
Simulating the actual test, I spent a solid two hours concentrating on practice problems.
⚡ An Afternoon Startled by a Sudden Shaking
Just as I was nearing the end of my practice, the entire classroom suddenly began to shake.
The shaking felt long enough that I instinctively stopped what I was doing and looked around.
When I checked the news after getting home, it reported **a magnitude 5 earthquake near Amami and a magnitude 3 on the main island of Okinawa**.
This was the first time I’d felt such a strong tremor since returning to Okinawa, and I was more startled than I expected.
Fortunately, there was no major damage in the area, and cars were driving as usual, so I was relieved.

🩺 Last Night: My Mother’s Illness and a Night of Caring for Her
Last night, my mother suddenly complained, “I feel sick, I think I’m going to throw up,” and she kept going back and forth between the bathroom and her room until around 2:00 a.m.
She vomited repeatedly, and I even considered calling an ambulance in case her condition worsened.
Fortunately, she started to calm down a bit after 2:30 a.m. and finally fell asleep around 3:00 a.m.
I kept watching over her while dozing off myself, and before I knew it, I had barely slept at all until morning.
It reminded me of the time I stayed up for three straight nights while caring for my father—it was a long night, the first in a long time.
I made some rice porridge for lunch, and I was relieved to see that my mother was able to eat a little.
She said she’d be fine with rice porridge for dinner as well, so I plan to prepare something easy on the stomach.

🏠 Taking a short break while working from home this afternoon
Today, I’m working on my computer at home while keeping an eye on my mother.
Since I’m sleep-deprived, I’d like to take a short nap this afternoon to recharge.
I’m spending a quiet afternoon, hoping my mother’s condition will stabilize.

📝 Summary: A day of clear skies, a shaky afternoon, and keeping watch over my mother’s health
- – The morning in Okinawa was sunny and perfect for doing laundry
- – Final practice before the exam at the computer class
- – Okinawa felt tremors from an earthquake near Amami
- – A long night of nursing my mother due to her illness
- – Resting while working from home this afternoon
In contrast to the clear skies, it was a hectic day due to health issues and the earthquake, but
by recording each event like this, I feel like the flow of my daily life is gradually falling into place.
