🌡️ This Morning’s Temperature and How It Feels
The temperature this morning was around 17°C, with a forecast high of 19°C. It looks like it’ll be a sunny day, but with strong winds of 4–9 m/s, it felt 2–3°C colder than the actual temperature. Right after waking up, I started the washing machine and went to prepare breakfast, only to realize the rice wasn’t cooked yet, so I headed to the convenience store.

🏪 The Walk to the Convenience Store and Strong Winds
There are two convenience stores near my apartment building, but I headed to my usual FamilyMart. It was too cold in just a short-sleeved shirt, so I threw on a windbreaker before leaving. The wind hitting the building was blowing down toward the ground, so it was blowing strongly from multiple directions—it felt like I might get blown away. I picked out a mixed sandwich and an egg sandwich inside the store, then headed home.

👵 My Mother’s Morning and Medication Time
My mother looked so sleepy and sluggish that she said, “I’m going back to sleep,” as soon as she woke up. Checking the weather app, I saw that a low-pressure system had just passed and the pressure was rising, so she was in a state where her health was prone to fluctuations. I gave her some strong green tea and told her, “You can go back to sleep after you eat and take your medicine.” Reluctantly, she ate half of a sandwich. I offered the rest to my father’s Buddhist altar and said my morning greetings.

☕ Morning Livestream and Tourists’ Surprising Behavior
While drinking coffee, I watched a morning livestream by an acquaintance for the first time in a while. As we chatted, she mentioned, “It’s cold, but tourists are already swimming.” Listening closely, I could hear young voices squealing with excitement. People say Okinawa is warm, but only tourists swim in the winter. Locals absolutely never swim. It’s so cold it feels like your heart might stop.

🌿 The view from the balcony and housework
From the balcony, it’s sunny with occasional clouds. The tips of the bamboo and the cherry tree branches are swaying violently, and the greenery has become more vibrant. The wind is strong, so it feels a bit chilly, but the laundry should be dry by evening. There’s no worry about rain, so I probably won’t have to go to the laundromat. Since breakfast was sandwiches, there aren’t many dishes, so I can probably run the dishwasher together with the lunch dishes. It looks like I’ll be able to take it easy this morning.

📝 Summary
The morning started with strong winds, but the weather has settled into sunny skies. My mother’s health is a bit unstable due to changes in atmospheric pressure, but she was able to take her medicine, so that’s a relief. The laundry is going smoothly, and it looks like today will be a day where I can take it easy without being overwhelmed by chores. I’ll take it easy and spend the day peacefully.
