☁️ This Morning’s Air and Temperature
This morning in Urasoe, **it’s a bit chilly at around 17–18°C, with light, steady drizzle**.
Light rain has been falling intermittently since dawn, and the forecast calls for rain to continue until just before noon, so it looks like it will be a day where you won’t be able to put your umbrella down.
Temperatures are struggling to rise, and humidity is on the high side. It was a chilly morning, even indoors.

🛏️ Waking Up Early This Morning
Unusually for me, **I woke up around 6 a.m. but couldn’t go back to sleep**, so I just got up.
I spent a quiet moment reviewing my laptop settings while watching TV.
Since I did my laundry at the laundromat yesterday, my morning chores were relaxed.
I plan to run the dishwasher around lunchtime, so I’m starting to write this blog post a little early.

🍞 A Moment for Breakfast
I made **French toast** using the 4-slice loaf of bread I bought last night.
I cooked it in a buttered frying pan until it was lightly browned, and enjoyed breakfast with coffee and my mother’s tea.
After breakfast, I gave her her medicine, checked her blood pressure, and then we relaxed while watching TV.
My mom seems to have woken up early too; even though she says she “wants to sleep more,” she’s actually spending her time lying in bed watching TV.

🚗 How to Spend the Long Weekend and Shopping
Since she’s taking the day off from day care today, we plan to **go for a drive around noon to do some shopping**.
We’ll take it easy, driving slowly around the Chubu region, and plan to be back by evening.
When I stopped by Edion yesterday, I found out that one of our home air conditioners is broken.
We have another one, so it’s not urgent, but with reports that **air conditioner prices will rise starting next year due to a refrigerant gas change**, we’ve decided to replace it during this year’s clearance sale.
Visiting electronics stores is one of the things I’m looking forward to today.

🎏 Okinawa During Golden Week
There are many events throughout the prefecture,
- – In Naha, there’s the **Naha Hari**
- – In the northern region, there’s the **Ie Island Lily Festival** (boats are fully booked, and they’re currently distributing numbered tickets)
It seems everywhere is bustling.
I’ve been to the Lily Festival before, and that scenery still sticks with me.

✨ Summary
A quiet morning with a gentle drizzle.
I’m taking my time with the housework and keeping an eye on my mother’s health—a peaceful day befitting the holiday has begun.
This afternoon, I plan to take a drive and go shopping to clear my head, and just take it easy without pushing myself too hard.
Let’s all enjoy the second half of Golden Week at our own pace.
