☀️ Morning Temperature and a Quiet Start
Good morning.
This morning’s forecast calls for 20°C. I can’t see the sun yet from the apartment balcony, but it’s expected to reach 24°C during the day. Since rain looks likely tomorrow and beyond, I started the washing machine right after waking up. I have plans starting this morning, so it’s a slightly early start. After hanging the laundry, I’ll wake Mom and start preparing breakfast.
We’re having sliced bread for breakfast, but whether it’s just toasted or has something inside depends on Mom’s mood.
She often has many requests like, “I won’t eat it if you do this,” or “I won’t eat it unless you do that,” and sometimes it leads to a small argument first thing in the morning. Opening the window lets a refreshing breeze flow through the room, making for a pleasant morning. Supported by this kind of air, another day begins.

🌸 Cherry Blossoms at 90% Bloom and Morning Light
The cherry blossoms visible from the balcony finally seemed to be about 90% in bloom this morning.
The entire branch is softly and brightly colored, and the petals glisten in the morning sun.
The soft light at this time of day shows off the pale pink of the cherry blossoms most beautifully.
Small birds occasionally visit, but they fly away the moment I try to get closer for a photo, making it hard to capture them well. Still, just seeing them perched on the swaying branches brings a little joy to my morning.
My mother also gazes at the cherry blossoms daily, commenting, “They’ve bloomed more today,” or “They’ll be in full bloom soon.” Sharing these small seasonal shifts together has become a daily pleasure. I managed to take a few photos of the blossoms today, so I’ll include them at the end of this post.

📄 Handling the Land Registered Under My Father’s Name
This morning, I have the final meeting with the administrative scrivener.
My cousin looked into it and found a small piece of land registered under my father’s name.
“Huh, in a place like that?” It seems a piece of land my father registered right after the war remained in a location unknown to any of us family members.
Since it had been neglected for years without any paperwork, we’ve decided to remove my father’s name from the title and consolidate it with my cousin’s adjacent land. After many discussions with the administrative scrivener, today marks the final stage. Once the documents are submitted, this matter will be fully resolved.
🕊 Thoughts Ahead of the First Anniversary
Tomorrow marks one year since my father passed away.
This past year has involved far more than I anticipated—handling paperwork, sorting through emotions, and so much more.
Though the painful moments should have been more numerous, looking back now, each memory remains cherished in my heart.
Mother still has days when she complains, but that itself is proof we’ve overcome a difficult period.
Even as she tells herself, “It’s over now,” she likely holds her own feelings within.
Once this land matter is settled, all procedures related to Father will be complete.
It feels like we’ve finally reached a turning point.
🍞 Morning Routine and Mom’s Mood
When I woke Mom, she resisted from her bed, shouting, “Wait, wait!!”
I told her, “We’re going out today, and you have daycare this afternoon,” and she reluctantly got up.
But even after sitting down, she wouldn’t eat her bread and ended up having just a banana.
She still seemed sleepy, moving slowly.
I woke her a bit early, so it couldn’t be helped, but once she started watching TV and chatting away, she finally seemed to wake up.
She seems in a worse mood than usual today, but that’s just part of daily life.
“Same as always,” I thought to myself as I continued with the morning preparations.
🚗 Getting Ready to Leave and Today’s Schedule
After getting ready, I’ll head out. When I return home, I’ll take Mom to daycare.
Only then will I finally have some time to myself.
It’s a hectic morning, but moving through each task like this has become the rhythm of my daily life.
📝 Summary
It was a peaceful morning, feeling the changing seasons as the cherry blossoms, blooming about 90%, shone in the morning sun.
The long process of sorting out the land registered under my father’s name also reached a milestone today.
With the first anniversary of his passing approaching, I finally feel like I can say “it’s over” in my heart too.
While being swayed by my mother’s mood, the beauty of the cherry blossoms helped me start another quiet day.
After finishing my errands and taking her to daycare, I hope to enjoy a little bit of time for myself.
