🍽 Lunch at Pizza House Jr.
My mom came home from the “Ikiki Health Club” and said she wanted some taco rice, so we went to Pizza House Jr., located just across the highway. We ordered the Mini Taco Set and Taco Doria. The restaurant was quite spacious, with the kitchen lined up in a straight row next to the reception area, where veteran staff members moved efficiently, almost like an assembly line. It was still quiet at exactly 12:00 PM, but after that, families started pouring in, and I could hear elementary school kids saying, “I want this one.”

👨👩👧 Signs of Spring Break and Graduation Ceremonies
Marugen Ramen across the street was packed, with children spilling out onto the sidewalk. On the way home, I saw a group of elementary school students walking with their yearbooks—it seems today was graduation day. My own graduation feels like a distant memory now, but seeing the children like this makes me feel the atmosphere of spring. After that, a group of people who looked like parents was walking by—they were probably heading to Marugen for lunch.

💻 PC Study in the Afternoon
In the afternoon, I studied for the Nissho Word Level 3 exam. I imported the practice book into the AI and divided it into three sets of 10 questions each to practice. I’m working through them repeatedly while having the AI point out my mistakes. I tend to get bored when studying alone, but having the AI randomly generate questions helps me practice in a way that’s closer to the actual exam, which is a big help.

😴 Mom’s Nap and Sumo
Mom took a nap for about two hours after lunch, and when she woke up, she did a little cleaning. After that, she said she wanted to watch sumo, so I turned on the TV, and we spent some time together. She seemed to stay awake until dinner, so it was a peaceful afternoon.

🌤 Airing the Bedding and Today’s Weather
The wind had picked up since this morning, and the cherry blossom branches were swaying. As the sun began to set, I brought in the futon and blankets I’d hung out this morning. The weather was nice today, so I’m glad I was able to air them out thoroughly. Tomorrow is forecast to be cloudy with a chance of showers, so I made the right call by airing them out today.

🍳 Tonight’s Dinner
For dinner, I made a simple salad by peeling tomatoes, cutting up some 6P cheese, and tossing them with salt, pepper, and mixed herbs. I also sautéed ginger and garlic to release their aroma, then simmered ground meat and tofu to make a thick sauce. My mother ate a lot, so it was a nice dinner. After eating, I cleaned up the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, and the day came to a quiet close.

📝 **Summary**
Today started with my mom’s taco rice after her health club, followed by spending time with the kids on spring break and soaking up the atmosphere of graduation ceremonies. In the afternoon, I studied on the computer, did some housework, and prepared dinner—it was a peaceful and fulfilling day. It was a typical spring day, feeling the changing seasons while the small events of daily life piled up.

For quick cooking, diced tomato cans are incredibly handy. They save time on peeling and chopping, and work well for soups, sauces, and everyday meals.
A manual food chopper makes mincing garlic and ginger effortless. Just pull the handle a few times and the ingredients are finely chopped, making meal prep much faster.
